Automatic Vicat Apparatus
UTCM-0048 AThe UTCM-0048 A Automatic Vicat Apparatus determines the setting time of cement, mortar and gypsum for quality inspection and verification. A needle (or a probe) drops freely into the sample at regular intervals and in fixed positions, and the penetration depth is measured by a sensor with 0.1 mm resolution. As the material hardens the penetration depth decreases; when it matches thresholds pre-defined by the standards, the initial and final setting times are measured and recorded.
